John Davagian has left perhaps the most important mark in Massachusetts Youth Soccer, he was responsible for the Mass Youth Soccer news. Launching in 1994, the Mass Youth Soccer news created a channel of communication with members that previously did not exist. John was a Governor’s Academy Alum, who later attended Lehigh University, and then Boston University Law School. He ran a family construction company for 3 decades until he began studying law in 1997. Before creating the Mass Youth Soccer newspaper, John was the sports editor at his university where he was exposed to soccer. Although he never played himself, John became involved in the soccer community by coaching his two children Jennifer and Jon. From there, he progressed to serve as the President of the Middlesex Youth Soccer League and VP of Mass Youth Soccer. John always put the players as first, and asking himself what would be best for them. This was evident in the Mass Youth Soccer newspaper, which became a connection for communication between the league, staff and players.
