Italo Agostino

Italo
Italo grew up in Italy before immigrating to the United States at age 14. Becoming fluent in 6 languages helped with his involvement in the international soccer community. He was the coach of the Huntington Preparatory School for boys and eventually founded and coached the High School Soccer Program in his hometown of Chelmsford. Italo was involved in the founding of Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association and was the President from 1982 to 1985. He also served as President of Eastern Massachusetts High School Soccer Coaches Association and Massachusetts High School Soccer Coaches Association as well as a USYSA member, US Soccer Federation Budget Committee and as USYSA Regional 1A Sub-Regional Director. With the international soccer community, he traveled around the country and world as the men and women’s liaison and eventually produced an international relations and protocol manual. His commitment and drive was immeasurable, working up to four jobs at times, he still made time to work with Massachusetts Youth Soccer and volunteer coach his 4 children.
