Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. United Soccer Coaches Certificate


Mass Youth Soccer is excited to offer United Soccer Coaches coach education opportunities at the 2024 Workshop. Coaches must attend all sessions to receive their course certificate. Coach Education Course spaces are limited and available on a registration only basis.
Workshop Sessions involved: (Attendees will have the choice to attend either session when there are two sessions happening at the same time)

Session #1, Option 1

Dr. Amy Bender - Sleep in to Win: Dreaming Big: How sleep can help optimize performance
Presentation Objectives:
1.Explore the science of sleep including 3 keys of quantity, quality, and timing
2. Learn about reasons why athletes should care about sleep for better health and performance
3. Discuss practical strategies to help you sleep better

Presented by Bay State Physical Therapy and MCR Chiropractic
Presentation Objectives:
1. Review common injuries in the soccer athlete
2. Develop effective programs to reduce the risk of injury
3. Assess the soccer athlete to identify potential risk of injury

3. Discuss mental skills strategies to maintain balance and optimal performance as a “human athlete”

Randy Waldrum - Nigeria WNT: 10 Days of Preparation for the 2023 Women’s World Cup
Presentation Objectives:
1. Discuss the adversity faced prior to and during the preparations of the World Cup
2. To present the two primary topics we addressed to prepare for the Group of Death – Defensive Block, and Counterattacking
3. Lastly to discuss the objectives for each game in the tournament including games against the Olympic Gold Medalist, the host nation, Ireland, and the European Champions.

1. Understanding around what it takes to build the culture within your club / team
2. Discussion around key principals and tools
3. How to make this focus on culture sustainable, and how your program will benefit from your efforts around this
