The Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association is proud to host the 2021 Massachusetts State Cup. This Championship is the first phase of the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series.
The Championship is open to all 13U-19/20U teams who meet the 2021 Massachusetts State Cup Eligibility Requirements. Note the 20U age group is only available this year allowing for those who missed the opportunity to play when the 2020 State Cups were cancelled.
The 2021 Massachusetts State Cup teams will all be entered into a Blind Draw.
Official League Team Roster and State Cup maximum size is 22 players and Game Day Roster maximum size is 18 players.
Teams must maintain continuity of 9 common players between their Official League Roster and State Cup Roster.
All age groups will play 11v11 and will play a single game elimination format, varying based on the number of teams entered per age/gender group.
Play-in games will be played, if required, to reduce each age/gender group to 16 teams. These games will be self-scheduled by the teams and must be played by April 27th.
**If the Commonwealth of Massachusetts regulations do not permit a straight knockout type competition at the time of the competition the format may be altered.

Saturday, May 15th - Round of 16
Sunday, May 16th - Quarter Finals
Saturday, May 22nd - Round of 16
Sunday, May 23rd - Quarter Finals
Saturday, June 5th - Boys & Girls Semi Finals
Sunday, June 6th - Boys & Girls Finals
The State Cup Championship fees will be broken down into two categories; Entry Fee and Per Game Fee. The Entry Fee includes team registration and tournament expenses not included in the Per Game Fee. The Per Game Fee includes the on-site game day costs, field fees and referee fees.

Teams will be invoiced by Mass Youth Soccer, for their Game Fee(s) after they have played their last State Cup game.
For those teams selected to play a “play-in” game, they will have 50% of their entry fee returned if they do not advance to the Round of 16.
There will be no charge to the teams using Progin Park for their “play-in” games. If teams choose to play at another site, the teams will be responsible for any field charges that might be incurred.
The Massachusetts State Cup winners will advance to the 2021 U.S. Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships in Hammonton, NJ, June 25th - July 1st 2021.
PLEASE NOTE: Massachusetts State Cup winners who withdraw from attending the Eastern Regional Championships will be subjected to fines up to $2,000.00.
Winners of the U.S.Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships will advance to the 2021 US Youth Soccer National Championships in Bradenton-Sarasota, Florida July 20 -July 25
PLEASE NOTE: Teams who withdraw from attending the US Youth Soccer National Championships will be fined $5,000.00.
