Massachusetts Youth Soccer Technical Development Centers are returning in the Winter of 2013. Each Center is designed to help highly motivated players develop their technical skills and to increase the speed of their play. Weekly sessions are run by Massachusetts Youth Soccer Staff Coaches at numerous locations across the state. The sessions are dynamic, fast-paced and will focus on all areas of technical development. The Centers are also an opportunity for Coaches to improve. Coaches are invited to attend. They will receive copies of the session plan and will have the opportunity to discuss the session with the Massachusetts Youth Staff Coach. Our Technical Development Centers are a tremendous opportunity for your players and coaches to improve in an intense, fun and memorable soccer environment.

2013 TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT CENTERS
WHERE IS THERE A TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT CENTER CLOSE TO ME? The Centers are conducted in the various cities and towns across the state as listed below. The number of Centers that Massachusetts Youth Soccer can operate is limited. We attempt to run them in regionally central locations and want to include all parts of the state. DON'T BE LATE! WHO CAN ATTEND? All players born from 1998 through 2003 and all youth soccer coaches affiliated with Massachusetts Youth Soccer are invited. Generally players born in 2001, 2002 or 2003 will play during the first hour and players born in 1998, 1999 and 2000 will play in the second hour.
IMPORTANT: BEGINNING THIS WINTER (2013) THE MASSACHUSETTS YOUTH SOCCER OLYMPIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM WILL RUN ITS U12 ODP TRAINING PROGRAM AT SOME OF THE TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT CENTERS SITES. THE ODP TRAINING PROGRAM IS FOR PLAYERS WHO HAVE ALREADY BEEN SELECTED FOR THE PROGRAM. IT IS NOT A TRYOUT OPPORTUNITY. AT THESE SITES THE 1ST HOUR WILL BE OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS BORN FROM 2001-2003, BUT THE 2ND HOUR WILL ONLY BE OPEN TO PLAYERS IN THE ODP U12 TRAINING PROGRAM. THESE SITES ARE DESIGNATED ABOVE.
WHEN ARE THE CENTERS RUN? Most of the Centers will begin the week of January 6th and will TEN (10) weeks (excluding school vacation week).
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Enrollment in a 2013 Technical Development Center will cost $140.00 per player for all TEN (10)weeks. Once the sessions begin, there will be no refunds.
Cancellations by November 30th, full refund
Cancellations by December 14th, 50% refund
Cancellations made on or after December 15th, all payments will be non-refundable.

WHAT WILL WE WORK ON? The Centers are designed to help players focus on and improve all of their technical skills. Players will work on individual development including ball manipulation, ball mastery and individual attacking and how and when to use them in game situations. Each session will consist of 40 minutes of skill acquisition and 20 minutes of small sided games in which to practice the “Technique of the Day”.
WHO ARE THE COACHES? Massachusetts Youth Soccer State Staff Coaches, Development Coaches, Instructional Staff Coaches and ODP Staff Coaches all under the direction of Ian Mulliner, Massachusetts Youth Soccer's Technical Director, will be conducting the sessions.
BELOW ARE SOME OF THE TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT CENTERS SITES FROM WINTER 2012. WE HOPE TO RETURN TO THESE CENTERS AND TO ADD MORE, HOWEVER THESE CENTERS HAVE NOT BEEN CONFIRMED FOR THE WINTER OF 2013.
