  | Player Release To Play Out of State | Each new soccer year, a player that wishes to play on a team that is not based in his or her state of residence must obtain a Release to Play Out of State in order to be registered and insured while participating in soccer activities outside of his or her home state. If the player is a Massachusetts resident, the first step is making sure that player is registered. If the player has played on a Massachusetts-based soccer team since the start of the soccer season (September 1st), chances are that player is registered. If you are at all unsure, feel free to send an email to kmurphy@Mayouthsoccer.org or call 978-466-8812 x221 and ask about a player's registration status (you must include the player's full name and date of birth to assist us in looking up the player's information). If the player is not registered, you may register him or her online with the Individual Registration Form. When the player is registered, the player's parent must fill out the top two sections of the Release to Play Out of State form, and fax (or mail, or scan & email) it to the Mass Youth Soccer office. We will then release the player and send that form on to the Accepting National State Association; you need do nothing more. Please make sure that it is apparent which state the player will be playing with! If the player is NOT a Massachusetts resident, he or she will need to acquire permission to play in Massachusetts from his or her home state association. |
