2013 – 2014 ODP TRYOUT INFORMATION

Olympic Development Program Tryouts In General.
ODP Tryouts are open tryouts. Players do not need an invitation or a recommendation to participate. No recommendation of any kind or from any source on behalf of any player will be accepted or entertained at any time prior to the Open Tryout period. U.S. Youth Soccer and Massachusetts Youth Soccer organize and assign ODP teams by CALENDAR YEAR, not SOCCER YEAR. For example, if a player was born in 1998 that player must try out for the 1998 or U16 team in the 2014 ODP year. All ODP Tryouts will be conducted at the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Fields at Progin Park in Lancaster, MA. For directions CLICK HERE.

Registration.
The Tryout Registration Fee is $25.00. On-line Registration will end on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 5:00 PM. IF YOU DO NOT REGISTER ONLINE, THE ON-SITE TRYOUT REGISTRATION FEE IS $40.00. The Tryout Registration Fee is a one-time fee and entitles the player to attend all tryouts in his or her age group. 

Attendance and T-Shirts.
Players are only required to attend one tryout session. However, we recommend that they attend as many as possible. This will enable the ODP Evaluators to see as much of the individual’s play as possible. Each player will receive 2 t-shirts with their tryout number on them. Each player will be evaluated using this number. It is the player's responsibility to bring both t-shirts to each tryout session he or she attends. If a player loses one or both shirts the player will be required to purchase replacement t-shirt(s) for an additional $20. Players MUST NOT wear previous years' t-shirts to the current year's tryouts as this can create confusion with unrecorded and double numbers. PLAYER also MUST NOT wear any clothing or equipment that identifies for which Club they play.

Schedule.
All Tryouts for the Massachusetts Youth Soccer ODP will be conducted on FIELDS 11 through 16 (the "back fields") at the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Complex in Lancaster, MA

If you need to register more than one player for ODP Tryouts, be sure to go back to the Mass Youth Soccer Home Page and hit your browser's "refresh" button. If you use the "back" button, the second and all subsequent registrations will not be processed.
If a player is unable to make any of the scheduled ODP Tryout Sessions, you must send an email to ODP Director, Jared Scarpaci at jfscarpaci@gmail.com and have the player's coach fill out a Recommendation Form. This form is ONLY for players who cannot make any of the Tryout dates.

PLEASE REMEMBER THE MASS YOUTH SOCCER COMPLEX, CITIZENS BANK FIELDS AT PROGIN PARK, HAS A STRICT NO PETS POLICY. PLEASE LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME WHEN ATTENDING TRYOUTS.
