MEET TOMMY GEIS
STATE COACH AND DIRECTOR OF SUMMER TRAINING CENTERS
Tommy Geis joined Massachusetts Youth Soccer's full-time coaching staff in 2011 after spending 20 years as a Club Assistant Director of Coaching in Western PA and as a Club Director of Coaching in Anchorage, AK. He holds his USSF A License and National Youth License. Tommy earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Communications in 1992 from La Roche College in Pittsburgh. He has worked as a coach in both the Alaska and PA West Olympic Development Programs and has worked as an ODP Staff Coach at the regional level in both Region II and IV. In 2011, Tommy will be the Head Coach of the Mass Youth Soccer ODP Under 15 (1996) Girls team.
Massachusetts Youth Soccer is now scheduling our Town Summer Training Centers. Our Technical Department will tailor A Training Center to the specific needs and desires of each Town or Club Program. To schedule your Summer Academy, contact us today.

9:35-9:45 Fast Footwork- Moves- Juggling
9:45-10:15 Technical Training (Skills)
10:20-10:50 Tactical Training (Decision Making)
10:55-11:25 Small Sided Games (3v3-6v6)
11:30-12:00 Larger Games (6v6-11v11)
Highlights of ALL Massachusetts Youth Soccer Summer Training Centers, Camps and Clinics include:
• USSF Nationally Licensed Coaches…Our Head Coaches hold the USSF “A” and “B” Licenses and include National, Regional and State Olympic Development Program (ODP) Coaches.
• Quality Mass Youth Soccer Curriculum…our curriculum is derived from the Mass Youth Statewide Curriculum. Each day is full of quality training sessions focusing on the 4 components of the game…technique, tactics, fitness and mental strength.
• Staff to Camper Ratio…a maximum ratio of 1 coach to 16 players!
• Shadow Coaching…Town Coaches are welcome to attend and to "shadow" our coaches.
Site Coordinator Responsibilities:
Your site coordinator would be responsible for securing the field for the times and dates of the Academy, camp or clinic as well as registering all players in attendance. Each site can arrange an event ranging between one and four days with a maximum of three hours per day. The cost for each event is $10 per hour, per child. Example below:
