Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association, Inc. (“Mass Youth”) understands that privacy online is of utmost importance to all our Members and those who use or visit our Web Site (“Visitors”). This statement outlines our privacy policies with respect to all users of the Mass Youth Web Site regardless of whether they visit our website to transact business or to make utilize one of the many services offered by Mass Youth. By using the Mass Youth Web Site you are expressly consenting to the Privacy Policies and Practices described in this statement.

When you go on-line, sites you visit may be collecting personal details about you without your knowledge. The term “Personally Identifiable Information” refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains. Personally Identifiable Information does not include information that is collected anonymously (that is, without specific identification of the individual user) or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.

Personally Identifiable Information collected by Mass Youth is securely stored and is not accessible to third parties or employees of Mass Youth except for use as indicated above. Mass Youth secures your Personal Identifiable Information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We secure the Personal Identifiable Information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment. All of our employees are familiar with our security policy and practices. The Personally Identifiable Information of our Visitors and our Members is only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees who are given a password in order to gain access to the information. We audit our security systems and processes on a regular basis. Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers or social security numbers, are protected by encryption protocols, in place to protect information sent over the Internet. While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure site, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins, and we cannot guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place and we will not be liable to Visitors or our Members for any such occurrences.
With whom may the information be shared?
Mass Youth may share aggregated information about our Visitors and/or Members, including the demographics of our Visitors and our Members with our Partners and Sponsors. We also offer the opportunity to"opt out" of receiving information or being contacted by us or by any agency acting on our behalf either via email or direct mail.
Who are Mass Youth Partners and Sponsors?
Mass Youth Soccer is proud to have numerous business Partners and Sponsors. These Partners and Sponsors help fund Mass Youth operations and provide Mass Youth Members with a variety of valuable services, products and discounts.
How does the Mass Youth use Personally Identifiable Information?
We use Personally Identifiable Information to operate, customize and update the content of our Web Site and to provide the numerous services offered by Mass Youth. We use your Personally Identifiable Information to inform you of other products or services available from Mass Youth or any of its Partners or Sponsors and to conduct surveys or studies aimed at determining better or more comprehensive ways Mass Youth can serve its Members or provide its services. Mass Youth may also use your Personally Identifiable Information to help compile general statistics regarding the Web Site. Mass Youth may grant our Partners and Sponsors access to certain Personally Identifiable Information on a need to know basis for evaluating Visitor and Member demographics for marketing analysis. Our privacy policy does not cover their collection or use of this information.
How does Mass Youth use login information?
Some information about your computer is automatically collected by Mass Youth. This can include but is not limited to, IP addresses, ISPs, log-in information, and browser types. Mass Youth uses this information to analyze trends, administer our Web Site and to gather broad demographic information.
What choices are available to Visitors regarding collection, use and distribution of the information?
Visitors and Members may opt out of receiving unsolicited information from Mass Youth or being contacted by us and/or our Partners and Sponsors by responding to emails as instructed, or by contacting us at mlaroche@mayouthsoccer.org
Are Cookies Used on the Site?
A “Cookie” is a text file that is placed on your hard drive by a Web Page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or to deliver viruses to your computer. They are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a Web Server in the same domain that issued the Cookie to you. Cookies are used for a variety of reasons. We use Cookies to obtain information about the preferences of our Visitors and our Members about the services they select. We also use Cookies for security purposes to protect our Visitors and our Members.
Will Mass Youth ever disclose Personally Identifiable Information?
We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information in order to comply with a court order or subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency to release information. We will also disclose Personally Identifiable Information when Mass Youth determines in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property rights of Mass Youth and/or the personal safety of our Visitors, our Members or the general public.
How can Visitors correct any inaccuracies in Personally Identifiable Information?
Visitors and our Members may contact us at any time to update Personally Identifiable Information about them or to correct any inaccuracies by emailing us at mlaroche@mayouthsoccer.org
Can a Visitor delete or deactivate Personally Identifiable Information collected by the Site?
We provide Visitors and Authorized Customers with a mechanism to delete/deactivate Personally Identifiable Information from the Site's database by contacting mlaroche@mayouthsoccer.org . However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a Visitor's or a Member’s entry without retaining some residual information. An individual who requests to have Personally Identifiable Information deactivated will have this information functionally deleted, and we will not sell, transferor use Personally Identifiable Information relating to that individual in anyway moving forward.
What happens if the Privacy Policy Changes?
Mass Youth will let our Visitors know about changes to our privacy policy by posting such changes on the Site. However, if we are changing our privacy policy in a manner that might cause disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information that a Visitor or Authorized Customer has previously requested not be disclosed, we will contact such Visitor or Authorized Customer to allow such Visitor or Authorized Customer to prevent such disclosure.
